For decades, digital identity has been an afterthought — a patchwork of usernames, passwords, and centralised databases that have proven fragile, privacy-invasive, and ripe for abuse.
The Paradigma project exists to change that. We believe digital identity should be:
- Self-sovereign — controlled by the individual, not a platform
- Cryptographically verifiable — not dependent on any authority saying “trust us”
- Interoperable — working across systems, borders, and industries without proprietary lock-in
- Private by design — sharing only what is necessary, nothing more
Why now?
The W3C DID standard reached Recommendation status in 2022. The EU eIDAS 2.0 regulation mandates a European Digital Identity Wallet for all EU citizens by 2026. OpenID4VC is gaining rapid adoption.
The technical foundation is ready. The regulatory pressure is real. The window to build the right infrastructure is now.
