About the Event

Held at the Centro de Convenciones Puerta de Oro, Latam Fintech Market 2026 brought together startups, banks, investors, regulators, technology providers, and opinion leaders from across Latin America. The event is designed to accelerate financial innovation, strategic networking, and business development across the region.

Our Participation

Paradigma was among the Chilean technology companies selected by ProChile — Chile’s trade promotion agency — to represent the country’s technology ecosystem at the event. Phillip Roe led Paradigma’s participation, engaging with fintech leaders, banking executives, and digital identity practitioners from across the LATAM market.

The conversations at Barranquilla reinforced something we hear consistently: financial institutions in the region are actively evaluating how to reduce repeated KYC costs, improve onboarding completion rates, and meet evolving data protection regulations — precisely the problems the UbID trust fabric is built to solve.

Key Themes from the Floor

  • KYC reuse is becoming a board-level conversation in regional banking groups. The cost of verifying the same customer multiple times across subsidiaries and partners is no longer acceptable.
  • Data liability is growing as Latin American privacy laws (Chile Ley 21.719, Brazil LGPD, Colombia Habeas Data) come into full force. Institutions holding more data than they need are exposed.
  • Regulatory interoperability — the ability to demonstrate compliance evidence across jurisdictions — is a differentiator for institutions operating across multiple countries.

These are exactly the problems a trust fabric solves. Our conversations at the event confirmed that the market is ready for what Paradigma and UbID bring.

What’s Next

We continue our LATAM presence with upcoming events including Fintech Forum Lima (30 Sep – 1 Oct 2026) and Internet Identity Workshop XLIII (3–5 Nov 2026, Mountain View). If you met our team in Barranquilla and would like to continue the conversation, reach out here.
